The preschoolers of Pronoei, Pachacutec

Hello,

My name is Scarlett and I’m currently through 1/3 of my volunteering project where I’m working in childcare in Peru. I work in an annex of the city district of Ventanilla, named Pachacutec, the poorest region of Lima. A typical family in Pachacutec lives off of less than two dollars a day, so it is importantly that parents have the opportunity to go to work and children have a safe place to be looked after. The nursery of Pronoei takes care of children 2-5 years old focusing on the development of social and interpersonal skills, stimulating cognitive and language development, alongside encouraging basic English language skills. All donations will be going towards buying school equipment, toys, snacks, paper, colouring books and pencils for the children.
