Hi, our names are Ahlun and Pepa. We have been given the opportunity to volunteer at the Demazong English Academy school and orphanage in Sikkim, India. With Pepa’s kinesiology profession and Ahlun’s teaching degree we will share love, connection and healing through kinesiology and play based learning.

Since our last visit in April, we have seen, felt and heard all of their hearts. Wishing to fill the school with more local children who so wish to attend, and help with maintenance we have decided to carry on with our fundraising to help support in anyway we can. As the Demazong English Academy is opening its very own play based kindergarten, Ahlun will be helping to set this up and inspire an awareness of how children learn best through play. The first of its kind in the area, the kindergarten will change the lives of many as children will experience learning that is reflective of strong connections and their interests, empowering a lifelong love of learning.

All monetary donations will be going towards child sponsorships for life and educational costs, food packages, renovations of the school to ensure safe and comfortable facilities for the beautiful children to enjoy, and the new kindergarten resources and set up costs.

Every child has the inherent ability to change the world simply by being themselves. We wish to empower the children of Sikkim to see themselves as whole, loving, free and capable of greatness, as we share with them how the outside world sees them - in their strength, in their light and in their identity. Connection is the single best gift we can give another, we would love for you to help bring connection to Sikkim.
