In 2026, The Tranter Project will be taking on the Potters Arf to raise vital funds for local families in Abbey Hulton.

My name is Dan Tranter, Founder and Director of The Tranter Project. I have been fundraising for over 16 years, and last year I set up this charity to directly support families in need through the safeguarding teams within local schools.

The Tranter Project is a family‑run Community Constitution group supporting four schools in Abbey Hulton, providing essential items to families who are struggling to make ends meet. Thanks to the incredible generosity of our supporters, we have already helped around 1,000 families across these schools.

We rely heavily on donations to continue this work.

My long‑term vision for The Tranter Project is to expand our support to children aged 7 to 18 who are dealing with grief and the loss of a loved one. With the right funding in place, we can begin developing specialist support to help these children through some of the most difficult times in their lives.
