Help Us Create Something Magical for 20 Local Warriors.
We originally wanted to invite four local children battling cancer to The Pink House for a special afternoon tea for Childhood cancer awareness month.
Then the messages started coming in.
Parents, friends and families got in touch to nominate children and we were honestly overwhelmed, and really saddened by just how many children so close to home are going through this.
The more messages we received, the more we knew we wanted to do something bigger.
So, with permission from every parent, we changed the plan completely.
Instead of afternoon tea for four, we’re closing The Pink House and throwing a private Pink Warrior Party for 20 incredible local children. A few hours where everything is for them, all about them, and they get to experience it together.
Some of these children are only at the beginning of treatment plans that will last years. Some have spent huge parts of their childhood in hospital undergoing intensive treatment. Some have fought leukaemia for years, experienced relapses or undergone transplants.
Their individual stories aren’t ours to share. Our focus is simply on creating the most incredible night for them, one that they and their families will never forget.
We want them to walk into The Pink House and feel like absolute VIPs. Special invitations, a beautifully decorated table where they can paint their own pancakes, followed by music, dancing and a disco. There’ll be food, mocktails, cocktails for the parents, presents, activities, surprises, lots of pink, and 20 little Warriors getting completely spoilt.
And just as importantly, we want their families to be able to enjoy it too. To sit back for a few hours, watch their children laughing, dancing, making friends and having the best time, and enjoy those moments together.
The Pink House is providing the venue, food, drinks, decorations and disco completely free of charge, and we’re working on as many gifts, activities and special surprises as we possibly can.
We also wanted the families to have something from the night they could keep forever, so Niche have very kindly donated their professional photography services to capture all those little moments, the smiles, the dancing, the friendships and everything in between.
We’ve already been blown away by local businesses offering their time, products and services to help us make the night as special as possible.
And then lots of lovely people started asking us how they could contribute if they couldn’t donate a product or service.
That’s the only reason we’ve created this page.
There is absolutely no pressure to donate. Every contribution, however big or small, will simply help us add even more magic to their night.
Once any extra party costs are covered, all remaining funds will be divided equally between all 20 children and put towards a special experience hopefully for Christmas, for each of them, arranged with their parents.
Whether it’s £2, £5 or something more, it all adds up.
We just want to give these 20 amazing children a few precious hours where everything is about them. Where they can dance, laugh, eat too much, make new friends, get completely spoilt and just be kids, while their families get to watch them having the best time.
A night full of fun, surprises, laughter and memories that they can all take home with them.
A special night all about these very special Warriors.
For them.
All about them.
And most importantly, together.
Thank you to every single person who has offered to help, donate, share or be part of making this happen. It genuinely means so much.
Love,
The Pink House
