The People of Kiberia Slums

Hi, my name is Marcus and I' m fundraising on behalf of Odhiambo Willis a struggling Pharmacist in Kibera slum Nairobi Kenya.

Here is a little background of my project and what I am trying to raise funds for;

Kibera is the largest slum in Africa but is the second largest in the World after Mumbai in India.About 2.3 millions souls are living in Kibera slum in Nairobi. These people are desperate for food , water, healthcare (medical and dental) ,love,and compassion.

Their homes are built from scrap wood, cardboard,and corrugated sheets metal. During my research I meet this young professional called Willis, he is 29 years old in a family of eight children and single parent (mother) ,he is the third born in the family. He and his family residents in Kibera slum in Nairobi. Willis is a professional pharmacist who owns a small pharmacy in the slum where he helps vulnerable people in need of treatment and food and also provide for his family . Due to overcrowding in the slum , the spread of diseases such as cholera, typhoid,flue, diarrhea,Hiv and Aids and trachoma is very high hence the demand of medical services is high and being that there is few medical facilities in the slums Willis is requesting for your help of donations to build a laboratory , dental care and restock the pharmacy. This community is in dire need of medical and dental services, healthcare workers, and volunteers. If we do not care about others,there will be no one to care for us.

We need help raising funds for supplies such as different medical equipment, medications, building materials and more.
