Climbing for Compassion: St Francis Hospice
Donation protected
Hi all
We're Jazz and Vinders and on 11 May 2024 we will, alongside our 45 fellow Peaky Climbers, will take part in the Three Peaks Challenge to raise funds for St Francis Hospice. We’ll be attempting to conquer three of the highest mountains in the UK in under 24 hours! We’ll start by taking on Ben Nevis (the highest mountain in the UK) in Scotland, before driving south to Scarfell Pike in the lake District for a night hike, then finally heading to Mount Snowden in Wales. That’s a total ascent of 3,064 metres (10,052ft) over a total walking distance of 23 miles and a drive of 462 miles!
Why St Francis? This incredible charity, through unwavering dedication and compassion, helps those facing life-limiting illnesses. St Francis Hospice goes above and beyond to ensure that every individual receives the care and support they deserve, regardless of their circumstances.
With your generous donations, we can help St Francis Hospice continue their invaluable work, providing comfort and dignity to patients and their families during some of life's most challenging moments.
You can read more about the fantastic work St Francis’ does and how you can help by visiting https://www.sfh.org.uk/
You’ll also help keep us motivated as we prepare for this grueling challenge and our minds are filled with a mix of excitement and trepidation - it sounded a good idea back in November when we signed up! But amidst the physical exertion and mental fatigue, there will be one thing that keeps us going - the knowledge that every step we take will bring us closer to supporting this vital cause.
Thank you so much for your support.
