The Peace Bus: Every-Kid-Eats

Every day in Washington State, 1 in 6 children experience hunger.

 

Over the last 3 years due to the pandemic, the Child Food Insecurity Rate in Washington has increased 40%. Right now, 18.6% of Washington’s children are lacking one of the most valuable things in life.

 

Food!

 

And we all love food.

 

That’s why the restaurants of Tacoma are teaming up with The Peace Bus to provide meals to children who may not otherwise have access.

 

And Tacoma knows how to cook!

 

“Nearly 60% of all Tacoma students are receiving free or reduced lunch, sometimes a hot meal just isn't an option.”

 

This summer of 2022, from July 1 to September 1st, Kwabi & The Peace Bus, along with Tacoma’s best restaurants, will team up to feed our cities kids in a new humanitarian campaign called:

 

Every-Kid-Eats!

 

On a time and day of their choosing, Local Restaurants in Tacoma will allow kids can come and receive a free meal on behalf of their business.

 

They will make the menu, and kids get an opportunity to try some of Tacoma’s best food.

 

Donations from this Gofundme will go towards helping fund meals for children experiencing hunger who are participating in the program.
