Hi, my names Dan and I’m going to be running the Venice Marathon on Sunday 26th October 2025. The Pam Yale Young Deaf Foundation was created in loving memory of Pam Yale who was a dedicated teacher of the deaf who believed passionately in the power of learning beyond the classroom. Pam spent her life advocating for deaf and hearing-impaired children, always fighting to ensure they had access to enriching experiences like school trips and outdoor learning, opportunities that are often out of reach due to additional costs. This foundation aims to remove those financial barriers by offering support to families who need it most.
Having worked with deaf children myself over the past few months, I’ve seen firsthand the importance of inclusion, communication, and hands-on learning. Inspired by Pam’s vision, this foundation are also committed to increasing access to British Sign Language (BSL) in early years settings. By funding BSL training for nursery staff and outdoor educators, we hope to break down communication barriers and ensure more deaf children can learn, explore, and thrive alongside their peers.
With your support, we can all help carry forward Pam’s legacy and build a more inclusive world for the next generation. Every donation makes a difference.
