The Palette At Home Arts Programme

The Covid-19 pandemic has brought the world to a halt, everybody has been affected by it. The Palette Newcastle is a Community Interest Company (CIC), which means while we love selling our delicious vegan cakes, our main goal is to reinvest our profits into accessible creative programmes to better the lives of people in our local community.

With everyone staying home to stop the spread of Coronavirus, we're unable to provide our workshops in person. We know first hand that anxiety and fear is rising, and that children and their education is suffering a little because of this - so we're doing what we can to help!

We are launching an online programme with guided activities for a huge variety of people. These will be tailored for children of different ages and abilities, as well as workshops for adults to help reduce depression and anxiety during this uncertain time.

Parents can also use our programme for art lessons as part of their home schooling routine, because we will be including the most recent key objectives for Key Stages 1 to 4 in our activities. Rebecca, our founder, worked voluntarily for two years at Ponteland Primary School delivering art lessons, so rest assured, we have great experience in your child's academic needs.

We will also be producing creative packages that will be delivered contact-free, and include all the materials people may need to follow our videos - or just to use themselves! These packages do cost money to produce, as does the delivery for them, so we will be charging just £2.00 per package, with the hope to raise enough money with our GoFundMe to subsidise the rest of the cost in order to make them as accessible as possible!

Finally, we pledge to be 100% transparent about our spending. We promise to regularly update our website with our progress, and provide detailed analysis of our expenditure. Here, you can see that we are working for no money at all here - we're volunteering our time to producing these videos, making the boxes and hand delivering them.
