I am reaching out asking for help for a wonderful family who lost everything in house fire.

From Megan's own words...

"Not something I ever thought I would be sharing. Our home for 13 years burned last night.

We are safe. Our animals are safe. Our neighbors are safe. Our cat took off out of the house as the roof collapsed and is still missing, however.

The girls are devastated Aaron and I are in shock. We watched our house burn. Ava was balling about her books, her paints, and clothes. Emersyn with her French Horn, soccer stuff, blanket and stuffies. Isla and her sweet Bunbun; the 1st stuffed animal she got in the hospital. Aaron and I lost family heirlooms. Things that could never be replaced. We lost our home.

We cried. We held each other. We watched it go. 13 years of a home we made together, where Ava called home at 1.5 years old, where we brought Emersyn home from the hospital, where we brought Isla home from the hospital. 13 years gone in a matter of minutes.

I heard the rumbled and crackle overhead as I realized this was big. A deafening sound I will never be rid of. I threw on my clothes, yelled for Ava to get out, yelled at Emersyn & Isla, "the house is on fire! Get out get out get out!" Em jumped out of bed and took off running while Isla jumped up, looked at me terrified from her top bunk, and opened her arms for me to help. She got out.

Aaron was helping to get our neighbors out, Ms. Kathy said her mom was still in there. Firefighters showed up. One of them going in her home to save her sweet 98 year old mother as Aaron was coming out. He took off and banged on the door of our other neighbors. We share walls with 3 other families. They all got out safely.

I will never forget the tear I saw running down my sweet neighbor's face as she watched all of our homes just go down. Her kids grew up here also. 12 years, just gone.

We cried. We held each other. We watched it go. But, we are all safe."

Thank you Almighty God from keeping everyone safe. Things can be replaced, but they cannot. Please help this family rebuild their entire life. We have already started gathering clothing donations, but there is still so much that they will need. Any amount is appreciated.
