This Ramadan, we’re raising $10,000 CAD to provide food packages to 91 families in Hargeisa, Somaliland; all families raising children with special needs.

Each package (valued at $75 USD), will cover a month’s worth of essentials like rice, flour, oil, milk powder, tea, and dates.

This Year’s Theme: The Ones Who Remember

We come from people who fed others before they fed themselves.

Our mothers who would say “I’m full”, even when they weren’t.

Our fathers who quietly shared whatever they had.

Our elders who believed giving was not an act but identity.

This year, we remember them.

We honor them by continuing what they started.

We give because they always did.

A Growing Effort, Year After Year

What began in 2022 as a small act of compassion has grown into a coordinated community initiative supported by a dedicated team across Canada and Hargeisa.

Each year, more volunteers join our efforts; planning, fundraising, and delivering food directly to families who need it most. Together, we’ve built a system rooted in consistency, transparency, and care.

This year, we’re setting our goal higher not only to feed more families, but to raise lasting awareness for an important cause.

Why this work matters

There are families who wake up not knowing if they’ll have food for the day. When we deliver their packages, it’s not just relief, it’s a reminder that they’re seen, that they matter. Behind every delivery is a mother doing her best with what little she has. Through this initiative, we’re offering more than food, we’re offering relief and hope.
