The One and Only Elia Miage Support Fund 2

As you all know Elia is a very special person to me and someone who I always want to be ok and help when I can, however I can't always do it on my own. Elia to me is like a brother and friend and when I went to visit Tanzania again this year, he was the main reason for my visit. He is by far one of the most incredible human beings I know and I couldn't believe it had been 7 years since I had seen him!

For those of you that don't know my name is Tom, and I’m reaching out to ask for your support in helping a dear friend of mine in Tanzania complete some essential work on his family home. This is more than just a building project — it’s about creating a safe, stable, and dignified space for his family to live in. For many years now Elia has been trying to create a new family home next to his current family home as he and his children don't have the space and his current home is very tired as it is made from the traditional wood, mud and cow dung.

You all know him as Mr Elia Miage or Mr Chop Chop. He is a hero and such a special person who I know a lot of you loved and cherished during your time in Tanzania. Having met all of his family and spent such a long time with him it is one of my main goals in life to help and support him and them when I can. Elia works extremely hard and will do his best to help everyone around him. I personally would love to make Elia more comfortable in life. A lot of you reading this who spent time volunteering in Tanzania will know all about Elia and I'm sure he was a big part of your trip.

My friend has worked hard to save what he can and build this home brick by brick, but due to limited resources, key finishing work remains incomplete still after starting 5 years ago. I’m helping him raise roughly 9,700,000 Tanzanian Shillings (approx. £2800/$3700USD to fund the remaining construction tasks that will finally make the house liveable.

What the funds will cover:

Every item on the list is necessary to make the home not just functional but a true place Mr Miage and his young family can live in. These improvements will directly improve their daily life — offering safety, privacy, and lasting protection from the elements.

This is not just a house — it's a dream in progress. I’ve seen the care, work, and love he’s put into this house so far, and I want to support him in finishing it with all of your help.
