I appreciated the opportunity to share the journey and the overview of all the programs of the facility. This journey evolved. Time and time again, I encountered failures in the system and gaps in our legislation and laws on human trafficking. Oklahoma survivors were repeatedly left exposed and subjected to a needless second wave of trauma. This affected me deeply. This is not about me — I stand here to amplify others’ voices, not to claim credit. I share this work not for recognition but to spotlight survivors, expose systemic failures, and drive the concrete solutions they desperately need. It’s about transforming the next chapter of these survivors' lives through effective, supportive guidance.
The Kevin Stewart Foundation offers a solution: The Oasis Project Reintegration Campus. After speaking with nineteen families, a pattern kept emerging: every family reported sightings of their child or young adult in multiple states. I realized these families weren’t just dealing with a missing person — many feared their son, daughter, or young adult had been pulled into human trafficking. When victims are found or escape that life, they often have nowhere safe to go. They carry deep trauma, fear, and broken trust.
I remember one mother who had been searching for her daughter for three years. As I prepared to leave, she grabbed my hand and said, “Thank you.” I asked, “For what?” She said, “Because you listened. You’re the fifth investigator we’ve talked to. None of the others cared about finding my child. They just wanted our money.” Another family’s daughter had been missing for months.
Their investigator told them he believed a serial killer had taken their child — and then he walked away. A few days later, the father canceled a meeting: his wife had taken her own life. He found a note in her pocket that read, “I know where she's at, and I'm going to be with her.” These stories are heartbreaking, and they are why the Oasis Reintegration Campus exists. The Oasis Reintegration Campus provides a safe, supportive place for survivors of human trafficking to heal, regain independence, and rebuild their lives. Our programs include:

• Safe housing: secure, stable living while survivors heal
• Trauma-informed counseling: professional mental health support
• Life skills & education: everyday skills and vocational training
• Job readiness & employment support: workforce preparation
• Community & mentorship: peer connection and guidance
• Holistic healing: wellness, therapy, and recreational programs.

Many of us need a second chance. The Oasis Reintegration Campus offers survivors the opportunity to regain safety, freedom, and choice. It reminds us that everyone deserves a chance to heal and start again. You can be their hero. By supporting the Oasis Reintegration Campus through donations, partnerships, volunteering, or spreading awareness — you help survivors rebuild their lives with dignity, self-esteem, and hope.
There is a light at the end of the tunnel.
It’s called the Oasis Reintegration Campus. Together, we can help survivors find restoration and the future they deserve.
