As many of you know, our much-loved friend and colleague Dan, has been courageously battling stage 4 bowel and bladder cancer for the last 18 months. Dan spent a year undergoing intense chemo and radio therapy. In May this year, at just 38 years old, Dan and his family were told that his cancer was incurable however, his oncologist has agreed for Dan to begin immunotherapy, provided by NHS which the family are very thankful for. Alongside this, Dan is seeking complementary therapies that can provide relief and improve quality of life. These therapies, however, come with significant costs that are not covered by the NHS.
Natara, as a company are rallying together to raise funds to support Dan and his family during this difficult time. We have hosted a fund-raising night and now eight of Dan’s friends and work colleagues taking on an 85-mile challenge. They are walking the length of the River Tees, over three days and two nights, where they will be camping out under the stars. Natara, are very keen to support Dan and his family, not only have they given these eight members of staff time off work to complete the challenge but have also generously agreed to match any funds raised. So, your contributions, no matter the amount, will make a huge difference. It will not only help Dan manage his symptoms and side effects but will also give him the strength to continue fighting.
Together, we can make a great difference to Dan and his family.
