On Wednesday March 18th, we made the difficult decision to temporarily close our doors due to the severity of the COVID-19 crisis. Our locations in New York and New Jersey will remain closed until further notice.  The health and safety of our community is our priority and we want to do our part to take care of one another during this challenging time. This emergency due to the COVID-19 virus has put our business in unfamiliar waters.

Thank you for your emails and messages, asking how you can help our team. It’s been heartwarming. That’s why we set up this go fund me page.  This is one of the most difficult decisions John and I have ever had to make.  We have been open for 12 years and have become a staple in our neighborhoods. 

We are a company built on family including our team of Barbers and Grooming Specialists who have been working for us for years.  We know how much you love them as well.   Our Barber Shops are men’s sanctuaries, a neighborhood shop where life’s stresses are replaced with a great barber service and a good conversation with our barbers. 

But this is an unexpected time and we must prioritize the safety of our customers and staff. We are determined to get back to doing what we love as soon as it is safe to do so.

As a result, we are kicking off this campaign to support all our affected team members.  All funds raised will be distributed to all of our amazing staff. We ask anyone who can support The New York Shaving Company team, to help in any way they can.
