STAND WITH NEPAL – EMERGENCY FUNDRAISING APPEAL

The Bhote Koshi Challenge – Cycling for Nepal

146km • 48 Hours • One Team • One Goal

At Timken Grange, we are more than colleagues – we are a family. When something affects one of our team, it affects all of us.

Two valued members of our team are from Nepal, and the recent devastating events there have made this appeal incredibly personal to everyone at Timken Grange.

Thankfully, their immediate families are safe. Our Deputy Chef’s family are safe, and we were incredibly relieved to learn that his friend, who had initially been missing, has also been found safe. Our night team member’s family are also safe.

But the impact goes far beyond their immediate families.

Nepal is their home.

It is where their families, friends, memories and communities are. Watching the devastation unfold from thousands of miles away and seeing the impact on their homeland and its people has understandably been incredibly difficult.

We couldn’t simply stand by and do nothing.

So we’re taking on the Bhote Koshi Challenge!

Over 48 hours, the Timken Grange family will come together to collectively cycle 146km, representing the distance of the Bhote Koshi River.

Our team members, residents, relatives, friends and visitors will all be encouraged to get on the bikes and contribute whatever distance they can.

Someone might cycle 500 metres, someone else 10km – it doesn’t matter.

Every kilometre counts. Every person taking part matters. ❤️

❤️ Why are we fundraising?

The Stand With Nepal Emergency Fundraising Appeal has been organised by the Nepalese community in Northamptonshire, bringing people together to support those affected by the devastation in Nepal.

We want to stand alongside them.

Our cycling challenge is Timken Grange’s way of supporting that appeal while also showing our two Nepalese colleagues just how much they and their homeland mean to us.

This is about more than raising money.

It’s about community.
It’s about compassion.
It’s about standing together when people need us.

And it’s about saying to our Nepalese colleagues:

You may be thousands of miles from home, but you are not facing this alone. Your families matter to us. Your communities matter to us. Nepal matters to us. ❤️

Please help us make a difference

Please donate whatever you can. No amount is too small.

If you’re unable to donate, you can still support us by sharing our fundraising page, encouraging our cyclists and helping us spread the word.

We have 146km to cycle and 48 hours to do it.

We know our legs might be tired by the end – but we also know exactly why we’re doing it! ❤️
