Narayan Sanwal was loved beyond measure - a truly warm, infectiously caring human being who lit up any room he entered. He continually spread his bright light, contagious laugh, and giving nature to everyone he met. Narayan was dedicated to helping his community and lending a helping hand; he was excited for every opportunity to support others and did so without any expectations. He greatly enjoyed feeding the homeless in local encampments and volunteered to distribute boxes of fresh produce to families in need. Being a true child of the Bay Area, Narayan was very passionate about his local sports teams and activities. He also loved kids and was an important mentor to many of his friends and relatives’ children.
We will honor Narayan’s memory through “The Narayan R. Sanwal Charitable Giving Fund,” which will be making charitable contributions to organizations focused on assisting young people in under-served communities with a focus on sports, fitness and educational programs in the Bay Area and beyond. With your donations, we are hopeful that we will be able to honor his wonderful legacy and continue to greatly uplift our community.
The first charities The Narayan Fund will be supporting this holiday season are:
Boys and Girls Club of El Sobrante
Food Bank of Contra Costa and Solano
The Thompson Family Foundation
All proceeds from this page will go directly into The Narayan Fund and then towards these three charities, just in time for Christmas. Please visit our website for future updates of charities and events: narayanfund.com
