Please help Kristy mom of Devon the heart warrior

Hello, My name is Carey Diaz and I am creating this Gofundme on behalf of my friend Kristy, Devon’s mom. Devon and my son have been best friends since preschool. I have gotten to know him and his family over the years. Devon is 13 years old and on 4/14/23 went in for his 3rd open heart surgery. This has been the most challenging surgery. He now has a pacemaker, and all 4 of his heart valves are now artificial. He is still in ICU and has a long road to recovery. Kristy has been out of work since January as she has been caring for Devon during this extraneous battle Devon has been fighting. She is a single mom and has not yet gotten her FMLA approved. On top of the emotional toll that she is dealing with Devon's surgeries, she has the financial burden of not being able to pay bills. I’m hoping to help get her financial support so she can focus on Devon's recuperation. In addition to bills she is incurring the high costs associated with travel to SF daily to be with him during this hospital stay. Devon is a sweetheart and has always been such a great friend to my son. This is the least I can do to help support them during this difficult time.
