This Plead for help is for my brother's son Michael Mezz and his wife Teresa Strife Mezz
Teresa Strife Mezz suffered Cardiac Arrest in early November. The paramedics worked to resuscitate to make the trip to the ER at Ellis Hospital. Where she spent the next 3 months in an induced coma for her body to heal. There was at this time no visitation due to Covid 19. Michael and their 2 young children were only able to see her through face time when nurses were available. After a stay in the hospital she spent time in Sunnyview Rehabilitation where she was diagnosed with ANIXIC BRAIN INJURY.
After sometime in January Teresa was discharged in Michael's care.
At this time Teresa needs 24 hour care, Michael is caring for her and their two children 24/7 with help from his parents Mike and Karen Mezz. Michael has been on a leave of absence from work and receiving some of his pay to live on and still trying to keep up with all house bills, and living expenses. Teresa's Medical bills and medication that are not covered under insurance, and the cost of a ramp outside of the home, making it easier access to their car for travel to many doctors’ appointments.
All funds and donations will go directly to Michael and Teresa to help with all medical bills medications and care for Teresa which will be needed when Michael returns to work.
As you know this is a very stressful time for this young family anything would be greatly appreciated for the long road ahead.
Teresa and Michael are a loving couple with a beautiful family. Teresa is the glue to this family. It’s been very difficult for her children.
