My name is Jano Raro, and I am 1 of 7 bartenders competing in this year’s World Class Cocktail Competition of Sint Maarten.

With the Cocktail Competition just 7 days away, I want to use my platform to raise funds for the Mental Health Foundation of Sint Maarten. One in every 4 people will be affected personally by a mental disorder at least once in their lifetime, but this will also impact those around them, from their families, friends, and even their community. Though the MHF has taken long strides to create magic with what they are given, they still only receive only a small amount of help through our government, donations, and our volunteers.

Thanks to the platform given to me through ILTT & The World Class Cocktail Competition, I want to help raise funds & spread awareness of mental illness & the Mental Health Foundation. With the 7 days, I aim to raise at least $1000 for this cause. Anything helps & any help is always greatly appreciated!

Mental health is an uphill battle that is larger than myself & this foundation. It takes a community to help make it work! By spreading awareness & raising donations, I hope that I can help provide aide to those who need it & make an impact for the community of Sint Maarten.
