The Marzano's : Our Surrogacy Journey

Dear Family and Friends,

Over the past 11 years, from friends to boyfriends then fiancés to husbands; our life together has been full of joy, humor, pride and unparalleled love. That love has grown in ways we could never imagine. But we feel as if our glass is not yet full. With that said, we have some very exciting news to share with you all. We have officially begun the process to start our family. This has always been a dream of ours, together for years and individually for even longer. This dream is finally becoming a reality and we need your help.

As many of you know having a child can be very expensive. However being a couple as fabulous as us (umm… ya know…..GAY) we have to hike a much different path as some. We have chosen the incredible path of surrogacy. In short, surrogacy is a journey in which we find someone who is willing to give us one of the most profound gifts someone could ever give; carrying our child.

WHERE WE ARE NOW: This journey actually started for us last year. As you know, Jacob has worked for SRM: Seattle Reproductive Medicine, for almost 4 years. It was through them, we created our embryos with the use of egg donation. SURPRISE! We got a head start!

WHAT’S NEXT: Surrogacy! Candidly, we now are faced with the daunting price of this next step. As intended parents we have partnered with a surrogacy agency to be matched with our surrogate. This process includes the screening and matching, legal fees, medical fees, agency fees, travel expenses etc.

So, these things do add up. While it is nice to day dream of winning the lottery as we drive past the billboard on the interstate, reality is a cruel thing. This is where you can come in. In earnest, we are asking your help. Any donation, no matter the size, allows us to take that one step closer to our dream.

We will be sharing the progress of our journey when necessary and when information is available. We want you in on this with us! The thought of surrounding our child with your love and support from the very beginning is just the most exciting thing. We want to thank you in advance for everything.
