PROJECT ONE CUT

Hello all, it’s Manal.

Being a mom and a hairdresser are two of my proudest achievements. Both roles bring me immense joy and the ability to help and support others. Whether it's styling a client's hair to make them feel confident or nurturing and guiding my children through life's challenges, making a positive impact is truly where I find the most reward. The connection formed by caring for my clients' well-being and my children's growth creates a strong sense of empathy and understanding in my daily life.

After volunteering at my kids Title 1 school (50% or more students live in poverty) and 86% are economically disadvantaged, I wanted to find a way to help more and give back to the kids that are less fortunate.

This has all led me to the idea to take both of my passions and combine them by offering free haircuts to children in need, starting with my children’s school.

Haircuts are not only a basic human need but they provide confidence as well. Feeling good about your appearance can positively impact how you interact with others and navigate social situations.

My goal is to raise money for the supplies to offer free haircuts for the 2024-25 school year event I will be hosting.
