Ira had his MRI last week and received the results on 10/16. There was no signs of the cancer on his brain, however there was lesions found on his skull. There is a lot of uncertainty as to what the future looks like for his treatment and condition. As for now it is just making him comfortable.
Hello,
In March of 2025, the Maloof family was hit with what is the most devastating news one can get. Surrounded by their two children, Beverly and Ira had to endure telling their kids that their dad was diagnosed with small cell lung cancer. After spending weeks in the hospital for what they thought was just something small and easy, the diagnosis turned into life-altering and shattering news.
Through chemo, appointments, and medications, Ira continued to work and push through. Until several months ago when he was unfortunately let go from his job, leaving a lot of the financial stress on Beverly. No matter what, they pushed through. In August, at a routine check-up, Ira's cancer was considered to be non-detectable. Fast forward to September, when what was thought of as a normal cold ended with Ira in the hospital and an abnormal scan. This scan led to more scans, which later determined his cancer was back, this time in his liver and bones.
Left with uncertainty about what the rest of the journey has in store, I have set up a GoFundMe to help with the unexpected costs for medical bills and any additional assistance that is needed during this time as the Maloof family (my second family) is left with a tremendous amount of unknowns.
Any amount will help ease their family mind, if you are unable to donate a simple share will be greatly appreciated.
Updates will be given when possible.
