# THE LONG WALK HOME

### Durham → Milton Keynes | Around 250 Miles | One Mission

**Ten months ago, Fitzy made a stand on the streets of Milton Keynes.**

He put out a simple message to his community:

**“MK, I need you all behind me on this.”**

What followed was something neither he nor the people around him could have expected.

People stepped forward.

Donations started coming in. Food, clothing and essential supplies were donated. Volunteers gave their time. Local people began sharing the stories. And slowly, what started with one person trying to make a difference became **MK Homeless & Community Support CIC** — a community determined to do more for people experiencing homelessness and hardship.

Now, ten months later, Fitzy is taking that mission much further.

And he's not doing it alone.

His good friend **Connor Aldridge** is joining him for a challenge that started as a joke between two old friends — but has now become very real.

They're walking approximately **250 miles from Durham back home to Milton Keynes.**

**The Long Walk Home.**

But this isn't simply a charity walk.

It's a journey to take the conversation about homelessness beyond Milton Keynes.

As Fitzy and Connor make their way through towns and cities across the country, they'll be documenting the people they meet, the communities they pass through, the challenges they face and the realities of homelessness in different parts of the country.

They'll be asking questions.

Starting conversations.

Taking on challenges.

And looking for opportunities to make a difference along the way.

Because homelessness doesn't stop at the borders of Milton Keynes.

And neither should the effort to help people experiencing it.

### NOW WE WANT TO KNOW — HOW FAR CAN WE TAKE THIS?

Milton Keynes has already shown what can happen when a community comes together.

Now Fitzy and Connor want to see what happens when that message travels.

How much awareness can be raised?

How many people can be reached?

How many conversations can be started?

And ultimately…

**How much more can we raise to help people who need it?**

Every donation to this fundraiser will support the ongoing work of **MK Homeless & Community Support CIC**, helping the organisation respond to people experiencing homelessness and hardship and continue developing the work it does in the community.

That could mean providing emergency essentials when donations aren't available, helping someone facing an immediate crisis, supporting people towards accommodation and stability, or simply being there when someone has nowhere else to turn.

The bigger the support, the more opportunities the organisation has to reach people and help.

**We're not asking you to fund our walk.**

Fitzy and Connor are walking it themselves.

We're asking you to help us turn the journey into something bigger.

A bigger conversation.

A bigger community.

A bigger platform.

And ultimately, **a bigger ability to help people.**

### COME WITH US

The entire journey will be documented.

Morning.

Afternoon.

Evening.

Lives.

Videos.

Photos.

The laughs.

The pain.

The blisters.

The people we meet.

The stories we hear.

The unexpected moments we can't plan for.

We'll take you with us every step of the way.

And when we finally arrive back in Milton Keynes, we want to be able to look back and know that those 250 miles weren't just miles on a road.

They helped raise awareness.

They brought people together.

And they raised money that can go back into helping people who need it.

**Ten months ago, Fitzy asked Milton Keynes to get behind him.**

**And you did.**

Now we're asking the rest of the country:

### **How far can we take this?**

**Durham → Milton Keynes.**

**Around 250 miles.**

**Two old friends.**

**One mission.**

**The Long Walk Home.**

**Let's go. ❤️**
