Hey friends! Thank you to those of you who have been following our journey (Nick and Mady). Thank you for praying and fasting with us as we discern how God is inviting us to be part of His story of redemption in the midst of infertility, growing our family, and becoming parents.

As we take next steps and begin the journey of domestic infant adoption, we are asking for continued prayer and financial help. Our God is a God of abundance, and we are co-heirs in His kingdom of abundance! So we ask for help financially, knowing that God has already provided all that we need through His Son. We also step out in boldness and faith, asking God to provide tangibly through friends, family, the church and others who can be part of this journey in a monetary way. We have already been in contact with an adoption agency, Nighlight. There are several things we really like about Nightlight. First, they are very caring towards us. We have been in contact with a wonderful women who is patient and understanding of our questions. Second, nightlight has a beautiful mission of caring for birthmothers. One thing that intrigues us about infant adoption is the fact that we can empathize, in a way, with birthmother who choose adoption. A mother who is deciding to place their child in the care of someone else is a mother who has experienced deep grief. Although our grief is different, we also know the pain and grief of the unexpected. Here is a quote from the nighlight website describing their mission "The word “Nightlight” connotes a warm, safe place for children. We are lighting the path home for children in need. We are lighting your adoption journey. And we are working in the name Jesus, the light of the world, who made it possible for us to be adopted into God’s family. We offer that light to the birth parents, children, and adoptive parents we serve."

The price of adoption depends and varies. At this point we do not know the exact cost but we have been given a grand total estimate of $38,400 – $49,275. Payments for the Nighlight program begin pretty quickly after the initial application fee and continue through-out the process as we pay program fees, home-study fees, adoptive parent training courses, etc.
