Hi everyone, Markie here. As you all know, my dad Dave has dedicated his life to his business with my mom, The Locksmiths. Last week Monday (July 25, 2022) my dad was diagnosed with a blood clot in his leg. Wednesday (July 27, 2022) at 5 a.m I had to call 911 as that blood clot travelled to his lungs. During that ER visit the doctors did a CT scan, and along with seeing the blood clot they also found cancer on his liver. They believe it had metastasized from somewhere else in his body, but in order to find the origin of the cancer they have been running many tests. Yesterday (august 5th) they ordered an MRI for him. In that MRI they did not find the origin of the cancer as thought, instead they found a fairly large abscess and a perforated bowel. Doctors are doing what they can to address everything, however it seems things just keep getting more complicated. They believe my dad will be in the hospital for a few weeks. Unfortunately this means that there is no income for my parents as they own their own business. Every day living expenses, every day bills, and now many medical bills are piling up. My dad has always been the helper, the life saver. Now, he needs the help. Our family needs help.
