The Lighthouse Community Foodshare is a volunteer led community project /not for profit organisation that provides year-round food and support for families and individuals across Rossendale and Rochdale. The Lighthouse is based in Whitworth and has been operating for the past 5 years providing an essential service to those in need.

To continue to do that it relies on the continuous support and generosity of the local community and the time dedicated in the project by the volunteers involved.

This Autumn I have, foolishly, decided to sign up to run two marathons and an ultra marathon and to make the time spent on these activities more worthwhile I have decided to pledge £1 for every kilometer run on these races. The planned events are the following:

The initial pledge from my running will be £145, which would be adjusted accordingly for any additional kilometers run during these events (eg. I might get lost?).

So, I have decided to open up this fundraising attempt to a wider audience and kindly ask for your support to towards the great work the Lighthouse Foodshare has been doing so they can continue providing their services and support to all those in need.
