Filming of The Life Story of "Kevin Pearson From the Heart."
Donation protected
Kevin died on October 27 last year, after living with hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM) for 16 years. He was 58 years old and was waiting for a heart transplant. HCM is a genetic condition that causes the heart muscle to get bigger - that was how Kevin lived too, big on the heart stuff. He made a big impact on a lot of people. His journey through life was often difficult, but he managed to build a village around him and find true joy in his connection with others. His is an inspiring story of strength of character, resilience and determination to live a good life, despite the hands he was dealt. The kids and I would like Kevin's story to be recorded and preserved, along with the beautiful art he created in his last 3 years with us. So we are planning to have a short film made, piecing his life story together, from the perspective of many of the people in his village. We would really appreciate your support by contributing to our fund to pay for the filmmaking. We will also be hoping to raise some funds for it through the sale of reproductions of Kevin's art, which will be released in time for his anniversary on October 27 this year. Donations over $100 will be issued a once off 10% discount code to use for purchases, when sales commence. Our goal is for the short film to be released during our exhibition of his art to be held from March 12 - April 6, 2025 at the gallery at The Old Fire Station, Redcliffe. Kevin lived from the heart - painted from the heart - and died from the heart. On behalf of Lauren, Jacob and Georgia, Grace and TJ and myself, thanks for your support.
