Yesterday, on February 1st, 2019, our amazing friends, Aaron and Madelyn (Maddi), welcomed their beautiful baby boy, Leon William Ulrich, into the world! Leon was born premature, a "27 weeker", 13 weeks before his due date. He'll have to stay in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) for the next few months.
Aaron and Maddi are both Western Michigan University alumni who moved to Los Angeles in 2011 to follow their dreams. Aaron works as a freelance Director of Photography and Maddi is a designer. When they found out they were pregnant, they were beyond excited to start their own little family. They didn't imagine he would ever be born so early (when we arrived at their apartment yesterday to feed their cats, we found no less than six baby books around in the midst of being read!). It's so clear that they are already wonderful parents for little Leon.
No one prepares for life in the NICU. Aaron and Maddi haven't even had their baby shower yet.
We're raising money to help Aaron, Maddi, and Leon through this time so they can focus on being a family. No one should have to go through this kind of traumatic experience and also have to worry about finances. The money collected goes straight to Aaron and Maddi to help them get through this sudden and unexpected situation, and will ease the financial burden over the next several months.
