Hello friends and Santa Fe community-

It is time for the next art installation at The Lena Wall. This time it will be a series of large wheat pasted prints of drawings by Adrian Aguirre.

The installation will be where the jetsonorama installation was last year, facing Lena Street and Second Street. The 3 Sisters/Autumn Dawn Gomez is staying up.

Adrian Aguirre (b. 1980, Ciudad Juarez, Mexico) is a Mexican-American artist whose work focuses on the politics of immigration and the people caught in the middle. Adrian grew up on both sides of the El Paso/Juarez border, crossing the bridge daily to attend school. This experience influenced his perspective on borders and immigration. Adrian’s work consists of portraiture and representations of life as an immigrant or refugee. He has traveled to refugee camps, day labor sites and volunteered with immigrant organizations. Aguirre lives in Las Cruces, NM.

Funds raised here will be used for an artist honorarium, painting, printing and installation expenses, logistics and project administration, and project promotion.

Thanks!
-Matthew Chase-Daniel, Curator and Director, The Lena Wall.

Thanks for project support from Willem Malten/Cloud Cliff, Stephen Auger Studio, and the members of the Lena Wall Advisory Committee: Chip Thomas, Amelia Bauer, Autumn Dawn Gomez, and Godfrey Reggio.
