This archive exists because people decide it should.
If each of us gives a little, it stays independent — and alive.
Become a Guardian of the Julian Assange Archive
The Julian Assange Archive e.V. is a non-profit organisation based in Germany with one clear purpose:
To ensure that what happened is not erased.
This archive preserves not only Julian Assange’s struggle for transparency, but the global movement of ordinary people who stood with him — in the streets, through letters, through years of resistance.
In 2024, that decentralised solidarity secured his freedom.
But the conditions that made this fight necessary still exist.
This archive is different
We are independent.
No institutions.
No governments.
No compromise.
Because the movement itself was decentralised — and this archive follows the same principle.
Everything we preserve will remain free and accessible.
Because access to information must be protected, not sold.
What we are preserving
* Thousands of letters sent to Julian in the Ecuadorian Embassy and Belmarsh Prison
* Protest materials: banners, posters, artworks, flyers
* Personal belongings entrusted by Julian and his team
These are not relics.
They are evidence.
Evidence that people stood up — and that it mattered.
Become a Guardian
This archive exists because people decide it should.
To become a guardian means helping ensure it continues — independently and without compromise.
Not everyone can give large amounts.
But that is not what this depends on.
If everyone who supports this work contributed just a small amount — even once —
this archive would be secure.
Every contribution matters.
It keeps materials preserved.
It keeps access open.
It keeps independence intact.
What we are building
* A permanent archive and exhibition space in Dessau (opening 2026)
* A digital collection for free global access
* Educational programmes and future exhibitions
Your support directly enables:
* Professional preservation
* Digitisation of materials
* Long-term sustainability of the archive
This archive belongs to the movement.
To those who stood.
To those who spoke.
To those who refused silence.
If you believe this must not be erased — stand with us.
Become a Guardian. Keep it alive
