The joy of ART to the orphans of Senegal
Donation protected
I’m Alice, an artist and photographer living in Australia, passionate about using creativity to bring joy and hope.
In March 2025, I’ll be volunteering at an orphanage in Senegal (West Africa), offering art workshops to the children there.
To make this initiative impactful, I’m raising funds to purchase art supplies and materials for the workshops. Any remaining funds will be donated directly to the orphanage to support their essential needs.
Why is this cause important to me?
Art has always been a powerful tool in my life, helping me express emotions and connect with others.
I believe every child deserves the chance to create, dream, and explore their imagination, no matter their circumstances. These children have endured unimaginable hardships, and through art, I hope to give them a sense of joy, empowerment, and connection. This is a deeply personal mission, as I feel called to contribute meaningfully to their lives and show them they are seen and valued.
How will the funds be used?
The funds raised will primarily be used to purchase:
Art supplies such as paper, paints, brushes, markers, and craft materials.
Tools to set up engaging art sessions for the children.
All additional funds will be donated to the orphanage to support their ongoing efforts in providing food, education, and care for the children.
How will the beneficiary receive the funds?
I will personally deliver the purchased art supplies to the orphanage when I arrive in Senegal, even better if I can buy art supplies there helping local businesses.
The remaining donation will be handed directly to the orphanage administration, ensuring transparency and accountability. I’ll also provide updates to donors, including photos and stories, to show how their contributions are making a difference.
