We are fundraising in the hopes of covering our fertility treatments and costs leading up to it (bloodwork, testing, fertility accupuncture, medications, procedures, etc.). We have been trying to have a family for three years, and after suffering two miscarriages (Dec. 2019 & June 2020), we have now been facing infertility for over a year and a half.

With the pain of loss and the uncertainty of waiting and wondering, "why is this taking so long?" our doctors referred us to the next step: the fertility clinic.

The fertility clinic will be able to (hopefully) provide us with answers as to why we haven't been able to conceive naturally again and, from there, offer us solutions as to how we can grow our family. Whether through IUI (artificial insemination) or IVF (in vitro fertilization), we have hope that God will make a way for us to have our own children.

This is where the tricky part comes in: insurance doesn't cover fertility treatments in the state of CA. They rarely do, and if that's the case, we were told that it is never more than 50%. Our insurance did not accept us because it wasn't deemed necessary. After finding out an estimated cost of how much everything can add up, we knew we needed to humble ourselves, reach out to our community and ask for help.

IUI (per round, possibly up to 3 rounds) can cost anywhere from $1200-$1500 each time. We are hoping that this is something we will be able to try but depending on what our difficulties are... this may not be an option. This leads us to IVF, and costs $20,000-$25,000. Neither are options that we have money set aside for and can't afford on our own.

God has led us to this next option of going to the clinic, and we are hopeful that He will use it for His greater glory. We have wanted a child of our own for three years now, and that deep desire hasn't diminished; it's only grown stronger. We have seen God use our story time and time again. Even though it has been filled with sorrow and suffering, it has opened our eyes to a community of others who have walked this path before us and connect and help others behind.
