For all those who have made Jordan Gennaro a loved part of your life, we thank you.

Jordan gave so much to so many people it goes beyond what we could have ever known. So many have asked to help and give back for all Jordan did for them while he was with us. Many including myself, his father, can still feel him helping people together through the love he left behind in all of us.

People who could barely talk to each other are now hugging each other and sharing their love for each other. It's incredible that even in his passing Jordan has touched so many.

For those that did not know Jordan, he was an illuminant, intelligent, 17-year-old boy who is remembered for being an empathetic and caring person. He was the youngest of four brothers and attended Zephyrhills High School in Florida. Jordan died from injuries he sustained in a tragic accident.

The accident involved a Yamaha ATV and occurred on June 1st, 2017. Jordan was taking his friend for a ride. While avoiding a car coming around the blindspot of Kossik Rd. where it turns into Cool Wood Dr, the ATV hit soft sand and flipped over. The passenger was thrown from the vehicle and Jordan who was driving was trapped under the handle bars whilst the vehicle rolled. Jordan's head took immediate hard and damaging impact from the road causing what proved to be a fatal brain injury.

Shortly after the accident, he was airlifted to St. Joseph's Hospital in Tampa and was diagnosed with head trauma - his skull was fractured in two places. Due to swelling in his brain and the attempt to keep intracranial pressures low, he was heavily sedated to the point of paralysis by Dr. Rakesh Kumar and Dr. Kevin Sierra and was kept on a respirator. After several tests, on June 3rd, the doctors pronounced Jordan clinically dead but he was kept on the respirator till June 4th where, at 1:30 PM, our family said goodbye at his bedside in tears as his heart stopped beating. He is LOVED and will be missed by many.

There are two ways you can help at this time:

1. We will be setting up a Foundation called "Jordan’s Way" to help teach what we have learned about the way Jordan loved and helped so many people when they were down or just made people feel so loved and cared for. This will be an outreach to help rebuild illuminating, loving relationships within families, between friends, and among all people through good communication. Funds and volunteers will be needed to make this effort the most successful of its kind.

2. We have a more immediate need now, with devastating amounts of uncovered bills associated with Jordan’s passing. Most of which are due to some issues with a recent change in his health insurance policy and a flaw in his life insurance that gives us no benefits. We don’t want these bills to cripple our ability to run the Jordan’s Way Foundation. We want to focus our time and resources on giving back to others as Jordan always did.

It has been humbling as I, Carl, have learned from the mistakes made that have contributed to this situation. However, we are honored as a family to feel the love and support of all those wanting to help us. We will dedicate our lives to giving back to all of you and others. For all those who have made Jordan Gennaro a loved part of your life, we thank you.
