Jentzen Thomas Irwin was born on October 17th to Priscila and Clayton Irwin. He went home a healthy, happy boy, much to the excitement of his big brother Jameson.
However, on October 19th, at only 9 days old, he began to show signs of illness. His parents brought them to their local hospital where he was transferred to Children's Hospital of Los Angeles. Jentzen was experiencing heart complications due to an underdeveloped aorta valve and a VSD, which would require immediate surgery.
On October 29th, at just 12 days old, Jentzen successfully underwent open heart surgery and has been recovering in Cardiac Intensive Care Unit since.
