The James M. Dixon Foundation for Alzheimer's and Dementia Research and Support, Inc. was established to provide support for organizations involved in Alzheimer's and related dementia research; support for Caregivers; assistance to persons living with Alzheimer's disease and related dementias; as well as provide information to the community through Community Brain Health Forums. The Foundation provides assistance to residents, families and staff of Assisted Living Facilities in the Atlanta area; is currently developing a campaign to assist airports, in the United States, with the development of dementia friendly environments and practices; and is developing scholarships for medical school students whose career path involves brain health, gerontology, or neurology, at Morehouse School of Medicine.
