The Jamel Boyce Foundation

Hi My name is Patrick Boyce, the father of Jamel Boyce. In October 2016 Jamel was attacked and left in a state of vegetation for 5 years. in February 2022 Jamel passed away. this November 2024 the attacker admitted he murder Jamel and was sentenced on the 6th December 2024

The funds that I'm raising is to start a foundation in the name of my son Jamel. Out of this chaos I want to do some thing that can help families of victims who have to go through the trauma I had the misfortune to experience.

The foundation will endeavour to bring awareness of carrying a knife to the younger generation and help educate them to make better decisions. It is also important to keep the topic relevant so that more can be done to stop the madness on our streets. When Jamel was attacked knife crime was mainly a inner city problem by the time my son passed away knife crime has become a national plague

The funds will be use to promote and educate children on the pearls of carrying a knife and educate them on the consequences to them and to their families of the victims. We will do this through school presentations and events to be able to engage with the youths

The foundation will also support the families of the victims, with interim financial help and advice This can be the most devastating time for any family that has lost love one to knife crime.
