The India Project in Kodaikanal

Hi, we are Gus and Quentin and we are travelling to India with our school in April to work on The India Project.

This project started when teachers did a teacher exchange to Kodaikanal in Tamil Nadu, in the year 2000. They recognised the opportunity to educate students at our school whilst also empowering the children of Kodaikanal and since then, a group of year 10 students have visited the area once a year to work in the community.

We will be in India for 16 days. The project work we will do includes:-

help in three creches managed by the project, leading games and lessons
construction of new creche facilites
purchasing and distributing creche uniforms, bags and shoes
planting vegetable gardens and trees
installing cookstoves in houses and schools that are smokeless to stop smoke inhalation

WE NEED FUNDS!

We need funds to pay for construction materials to improve three creches the project manages. To buy uniforms, bags, and school supplies. To buy trees, seeds and new cook stoves. To help in any way we can.

SKYDIVE GUS & QUENTIN

Together we have booked two tandem skydives over Interlaken on 19 March. We are utterly terrified having never done anything like this before. And it might be a bit cold. Please please please sponsor us to do this jump. Every single cent of funds received will go to The India Project.
