The Helping Hand – Christmas 2025 Community Appeal
This Christmas, The Helping Hand is once again supporting families across Dublin who simply cannot afford food or gifts for their children.
Last year, with the help of the community, we provided food support to over 2,500 people, including 150 at-risk schoolchildren, and after final distributions we were able to reach an additional 100 families who came to us in urgent need.
This year, the demand is even higher.
What We’re Doing
• Food hampers for vulnerable households across Dublin
• Support for at-risk schoolchildren identified by local liaison officers
• Christmas Toy Appeal with drop-off points at:
• SuperValu Walkinstown (D12)
• AP Fashion Nails – D15 AK2V (home salon)
• Amie’s Home – D11 Y8N5 (home drop-off)
Every cent raised goes directly into food, essential supplies, and toys — nothing else. All food items are purchased in SuperValu and delivered in SuperValu bags to ensure quality and consistency.
Why It Matters
There are families in this city who won’t have a Christmas dinner.
Parents skipping meals so their kids can eat.
Children waking up to no presents at all.
Your support — no matter the amount — directly changes that.
How You Can Help
• Donate whatever you can
• Share the link
• Drop a toy to any of our collection points
Together, we can make sure no family is left behind this Christmas.
Thank you for your support.
