The Harts Adopt

Hello, we are Matthew and Makyna Hart! Since our relationship first began, we have shared the dream of growing our family through adoption. Our plan was to become parents through adoption only - but God had another plan, and we got the best surprise present in our son, Noble. He is a sweet, and sometimes spicy, curly-red-haired 2 year old. As we watch his personality develop, we’re realizing that God knew best and part of our son’s purpose on this earth is to be the world’s best, most loving, and protective big brother to our new baby.

We have been in the adoption process for many months, with multiple interviews, several background clearances, medical records, etc. We  have just had our last home visit for the home study process and we are ready to be matched!

We are doing a domestic adoption through an INCREDIBLE agency here in Alabama, that partners with expecting mothers who wish to make an adoption plan for their baby. 

Here are some things we do NOT know:
- age (although with our particular agency, our child will most likely be newborn-2 years old)
- gender
- race
- medical concerns  
- timeline (our agency is unique in that they don't tell you when you are matched - for a lot of valid reasons, including the birth mom having time to change her mind. So we literally won't know we've been matched until after our baby is born and we get the call to come get him or her!!)

But here's what we DO know:
We really can’t remember a day when we weren't dreaming about, thinking about, and praying for this baby. They have been so loved and so wanted and a very real part of our lives, long before we’re able to meet him/her face to face. And we are SO READY to meet them!!!! 

We decided to do a Go Fund Me as part of our fundraising because it's no secret that adoption is very expensive and we have the most incredible circle of support that have been asking for ways to contribute. We are forever marked by every act of generosity and we thank you from the bottom of our hearts for choosing to walk with us in this adoption journey!
