The Harold & Frances Werner Food Drive
Donation protected
My father, Harold Werner, was the most kind and generous man I have ever known. He would go out of his way to help others, regardless of the situation. Regularly, he would donate to a number of charities in order to help satiate his desire to give. I'm beyond lucky to have had him as a role model and even more so as a father. Sadly, I also lost my mother this past December, so we have renamed the food drive to “The 5th Annual Harold & Frances Werner Thanksgiving Food Drive." The purpose of the drive is to help the less fortunate in our area during this holiday season. In the previous 4 years we’ve raised about $50,000 to help the less fortunate in our community.
I live my life everyday to be half the man he ever was, and to make my mother proud. This is one small way I can move toward that goal. A goal I know that would have made them proud. For the fundraiser, there are a few different ways to assist the less fortunate: 1) Monetary donations. Make monetary donations via GoFundMe. I will match every dollar donated, up to $5,000, with my own money. My goal is to reach $10,000, with the matching funds, in order to buy food for those in need. All food purchased will be non-perishable and donated to The Father English Community Center in the Paterson area, where my company is located. 2) Donate food directly. There is a box set up at my office, EverClear Pools & Spas, located at 144-146 Rossiter Ave, Paterson. There will be staff there weekdays from 8:00 -4:00. The office number is [phone redacted] to arrange drop off. Non-perishable items only please.
My parents were amazing role models, and I can think of no better way than this to honor their memory. Please consider donating. No amount is too small, and it would mean the world to me and those receiving the benefit of your gift. THANK YOU!!!
