Honouring a Legacy of Unity, Generosity, and Community.

On the 26th January 2025 we proudly host the annual Hamayad Mukhtar Unity Trophy, a cricket tournament dedicated to celebrating the life and legacy of our beloved son, brother, father, husband and friend Hamayad Mukhtar, fondly known as Big H or Goffy.

Hamayad was a huge pillar of our community and we know his loss is continually felt not only by so many from within our local community but many more across the country too. Known for his unwavering generosity and a heart that always put others first, he embodied the true meaning of unity and compassion. Whether it was through his kind words, thoughtful actions, or relentless support for those in need, Hamayad left an indelible mark on everyone he met.

The Unity Trophy represents everything Hamayad stood for: bringing people together, giving back to the community, and fostering bonds that uplift us all. This tournament is more than just a day of cricket; it’s a celebration of the values Hamayad lived by and an opportunity to make a positive impact in his honour.

All proceeds from the event will go to support local charities, which will include local NHS services that battled so hard to keep Hamayad with us, to Children's charities that Hamayad always supported and to local community groups, that Hamayad wanted to giving a helping hand to. All of this will allow us as family and friends to continue Hamayad’s lifelong mission of giving selflessly to those in need.

We greatly appreciate all those that are participating, those that will be spectating, or donating, your help ensuring his legacy of kindness and unity lives on and will be felt by so many continually.
