The Half Moon

Hi guys, as everyone is aware all pubs are
struggling through this very difficult time and I want to do something to show support to
my local estate pub The half moon.

Not only do they support the community
through hard times, they have supported me and my family through difficult periods and
nows the time for me to step up and show them support when they might need it the most.

As a fundraiser I am going to cycle to all the
usual pubs/bars around Sheffield that me & my family regularly visit to try raise money
for ‘The Half Moon’ to help them through
this pandemic. The pubs/bars I will visit are
based all across, Sheffield from ares such as
Sheffield town centre all the way to
Killamarsh and Birley. 

I’m hoping that by cycling to these pubs
around Sheffield to fundraise for my own
local, that it will also make people recognise
how small pubs/bars may need your support more than ever.

Now everyone take a minute to think of how
your local pubs have been there for you without you realising...

- Hard day at work.. call at the pub to relax.
- Arguments and need a break... call at the
pub.
- Birthdays... you go for a drink
- Meeting long distance friends or family for a catch up... pub is the place you go.
- For when the worst has happened and your pubs have hosted wakes and gathering for
close family & friends.
- Weekend entertainment.. pubs and cheesy karaoke, quiz night.

The list goes on...

After cycling to a pub on my list I will put my
‘showing support sticker’ down and post a picture of my visit. I will record my journey
around Sheffield by posting pictures, video’s and maybe even go live. 

Please feel free to create your own list of
locals that you personally visit and want to     cycle to yourself either to reminisce about
the good times you’ve had or just for fun and to keep fit. Or may you could start your own
fundraiser for a pub close to your heart. 

Speaking on behalf of the littledale estate I’m sure everyone will agree that the half moon is full of fun, love and laughter. Not to mention
the most welcoming and friendly owners
Terry and Linda. I would hate to see my local pub not re-open after this crazy period.
