Hello im Laura and im the Centre Manager at The Greengrass Centre in Hag Fold.

The Centre helps and supports everyone, we offer a wide range of courses to help people back into education to build confidence and they have someone to believe they can make a change.

We run a session called 'Home from Home' this is a session for children aged 8-11 years, we do wellbeing and support through old fashioned playing and offer a warm cooked meal and learn to sit at a table and develop skills.

Our food pantry has needed to increase delivery days to support all and im not meaning just people on benifits alot of working families are struggling too. We ensure we keep all food as cheap as possible to provide a good meal for the family.

We have a free bingo afternoon to help people socialise, warm hub offer so they save on the electric once a week and a chance to do an activity that wont cost them. The Centre has volunteers to help run the centre but its a sense of belonging and a family who help and support them also.

We offer so much more as Im always trying to bring new things to the centre rather than people struggling to access services.

One thing about us is we dont judge we support and offer a 1:1 support service with no time limit, which is what people need, a long term support system to ensure change.
