My name is Samson, and I'm helping raise funds to relocate a queer, trans, disabled friend living in an unsafe situation to a community where they will be able to thrive. This person deserves far better than what they've been going through, and to kickstart things getting better for them overall, we're helping them put down roots in a safer state.

Due to the current political climate in my friend's home state of Idaho, a once-workable situation has now become unmanageable. We are looking to get them and their two cats up to New York as soon as possible, where they will be able to connect with a community and have the space they need to heal and grow. The hope is that they'll be in New York by August 1, which gives us just under a month to see what we can do for them.

We already have many of the pieces of the puzzle in place to make this happen - the few things that we still need help on are largely financial. These include funds for gas, funds for accommodations during the road trip & move, and potentially (this one's a stretch goal) funds for a shipping container to make moving their belongings more accessible.

This is an incredibly kind and caring person who has been paying it forward for their community for ages - they're the reason one of my other friends was able to get out of a toxic situation and find someplace safe to go. Let's show them just how loved and appreciated they are and return the favors they've been doing for so long. Let's get them home. Anything and everything helps.
