The Great Clockwise Ride

We’re proud to be raising money for the WILD Young Parents Project — an award-winning charity based in Cornwall that supports young parents (under 23) and their babies to have the best possible start in life.

For over 30 years, WILD has worked with some of the most vulnerable families in the region, offering weekly support groups, one-to-one help, and a safe, welcoming community where young parents can build confidence, friendships, and essential life skills.

Many of the families WILD supports face significant challenges, including poverty, isolation, and mental health difficulties. The charity takes a whole-family, trauma-informed approach — helping parents overcome barriers and giving babies a stronger, healthier start.

How Your Support Will Help:

Funds raised from The Great Clockwise Ride will go directly towards providing wet weather gear for families supported by WILD.

In rural and coastal areas of Cornwall, many young parents rely on walking or limited public transport to attend support groups, appointments, and community activities. When the weather turns (which it often does) this can become a major barrier.

Your donations will help provide:

Waterproof buggy covers
Sling covers for babies
Warm, weatherproof coats for parents and children

This simple but vital equipment means families can safely attend groups all year round — reducing isolation, improving mental wellbeing, and ensuring children don’t miss out on crucial early support.

By supporting this cause, you’re not just helping people stay dry — you’re helping young families stay connected, supported, and able to thrive.
