The Great Blu to RED Charity Cycle

This September, our teams at the Radisson Blu Royal Hotel, Dublin, and Radisson RED Galway are leaving the lobbies behind and hitting the open road, as we take on The Great Blu to RED Cycle. With over 12 weeks of training under our cycling belts, we’ll be pedalling with purpose, cycling 220km from Dublin to Galway across two days, all in support of two fantastic charities that do incredible work in our local communities: The Alice Leahy Trust and Galway Hospice Foundation.

The Alice Leahy Trust has been providing social, health, and befriending services to people who are homeless, since 1975. Their compassionate, person-centred approach makes a real difference in the lives of some of the most vulnerable members of our society.

Galway Hospice Foundation looks after over 1,000 patients and their families every year, at home and in the hospice in Renmore.

Care is provided free of charge, for as long as it’s needed. This care includes inpatient care, day care, care in homes and in the community, and bereavement support.

All funds raised by the local community help enhance care for patients and their families. For example, by providing equipment for the comfort of patients and through essential projects like a Bereavement Café open to all adults who have experienced a bereavement.
