The Grace and Giveback Project

Hi, my name is Sade’ Potter, and I am a Junior at the University of North Carolina Charlotte, majoring in Psychology and minoring in Women & Gender Studies. I was honored to be chosen to serve as a Women and Gender Studies mentor this year that includes 20 students. Pursuant to my independent study project, I chose to partner with Safe Alliance which is a shelter located in Charlotte, NC, that helps provide healing and housing to victims of domestic violence and sexual assault. The purpose of my project is to raise enough money to be able to make feminine hygiene care packages for women living at the shelter. “Period Poverty” which is a lack of access to menstrual products, sanitation facilities, and adequate education, is a feminist issue I’m extremely passionate about. I would appreciate any monetary donation and/or contribution to help me reach my goal of $3,000! Anything helps! Thank you all in advance; this means a lot to me.
