The GOODs Are Coming: By the Community, For the Community

The Goods: Co-op & Shop is a grassroots, community-powered initiative located in the heart of Carroll County, VA. Our mission is to provide high-quality, affordable bulk foods, household essentials, and wellness/self care items through a member-owned cooperative that puts people and planet over profit. In addition to offering everyday goods at accessible prices, we’re building a vibrant hub for local connection, education, and sustainability.

From launching a mobile bulk refill store and hosting community events/workshops to planning for future offerings like DIY workshops, a health-conscious café, and a community craft space, we’re not just opening a store—we’re planting the seeds of a movement.

Why We’re Raising Funds

We’re currently raising funds to secure a permanent home for The Goods. Your support will help us:

1. Purchase and renovate a building to house our co-op storefront, bulk refill stations, and community event space

2. Establish a community garden to grow fresh produce, teach self-reliance, and nourish our neighbors

3. Create job opportunities for local youth and part-time workers

4. Offer workshops and educational programs focused on sustainability, herbal medicine, foraging, and more
