As friends who consider ourselves a part of the Gnong family, I know that what is written below is never something they would contemplate asking for themselves, although they would be among the first to help others. After careful consideration, we have taken it upon ourselves to reach out to friends, family and the community for financial assistance for the Gnong Family during this difficult time. We hope this account provides some relief for Harry, who has selflessly helped others for decades.

In October 2021, Harry was diagnosed with stage IV metastatic melanoma. Alongside Hannah and his team of oncologists, Harry continues to fight with the latest technological advances in immunotherapy. As you can imagine, daily living expenses, bills and medical costs have accumulated significantly throughout this process, adding more stress to an already emotional diagnosis. Hannah has decided to step down from her second job to work her first job remotely and to balance being a full-time caretaker of her father during this challenging time. Despite the accruing expenses becoming a major stressor, we have seen this family focus on strength and love. We hope these donations can also provide Hannah with some relief to spend this precious time with her dad.

For the past 35 years, Harry has been a dedicated member of the Sandwich community. Typically, you would find him working seven days a week at his place of business, driving around town with his dog in the passenger seat, or spending time with his best friend and daughter, Hannah. Harry is continuously helping others, making them laugh and often putting a cold drink in front of them.
